Provider Terms of Service
Effective date: October 15, 2026
Note: This is a framework document. A legally reviewed version must be finalized before public launch. Do not rely solely on this document for compliance.
These Provider Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PetMyDear as a veterinary practice, clinic, hospital, or other pet-care provider. By creating an account or submitting a listing, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and account
You must be authorized to represent the practice you register. You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. Providing false business information, impersonating another practice, or registering a practice you have no authority to represent is a material breach of these Terms.
Each account belongs to a specific organization. If you are an employee or contractor, your employer is the organization account holder. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
2. Your content
You are solely responsible for the content you upload or display on your practice profile, including descriptions, photos, hours, services, and contact information. You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have rights to all content you upload
- Your content does not infringe third-party intellectual property
- Your content is accurate and not misleading
- Photos and media do not contain personally identifiable information of patients without consent
We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
3. Verification and approval
We reserve the right to verify, approve, suspend, or remove any practice listing at our discretion. Approval is not guaranteed. Providing false information during verification is grounds for permanent removal. Verified status does not constitute an endorsement of your clinical quality or practices.
4. Appointment requests
Appointment requests are inquiries from pet owners, not confirmed bookings. You are responsible for responding to requests in a timely manner. You must confirm a specific date, time, and location before an appointment is treated as confirmed. You must not represent requests as confirmed appointments to pet owners outside the platform if they are not confirmed.
You must maintain your availability information accurately. If you suspend appointment requests, do so from your dashboard promptly. Chronic non-response may result in automatic suspension of your request mode.
5. Pet health data
You may only access pet health data when a pet owner has provided an active, explicit consent grant for your specific organization and location. You must:
- Use shared pet data only for the purpose stated in the consent grant
- Not share, export, or retain pet health data beyond the grant scope
- Honor revocations immediately; do not access data after revocation
- Not use pet health data for marketing, analytics, AI training, or any purpose outside the stated appointment context
6. Team members and staff
You are responsible for your team members' use of the platform. Ensure that invited staff understand these Terms and your data obligations. Revoke access promptly for staff who leave your organization.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not use PetMyDear to:
- Provide false or misleading information about your practice
- Claim listings you are not authorized to represent
- Harvest or export pet owner contact information for outreach outside the platform
- Generate fake reviews, ratings, or testimonials
- Interfere with the platform's security or functionality
- Violate any applicable law, including veterinary practice and privacy regulations
See the Acceptable Use Policy for the full list.
8. Fees and billing
