Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy supplements the Provider Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
Prohibited activities
- Providing false, inaccurate, or misleading information about your practice, credentials, or services
- Claiming a listing you are not authorized to represent
- Uploading content that infringes third-party intellectual property
- Generating, soliciting, or purchasing fake reviews, ratings, or testimonials
- Using pet owner contact information harvested from the platform for unsolicited marketing
- Sending promotional content inside transactional appointment notifications
- Accessing or attempting to access pet health data without an active owner consent grant
- Retaining, exporting, or using pet health data beyond the scope or expiry of a consent grant
- Using pet health data for advertising, AI training, research, or any purpose outside the stated appointment context
- Reverse-engineering, scraping, or automated bulk access to the platform's data
- Impersonating another practice, organization, or individual
- Using the appointment request system for emergency triage (always direct emergencies to call your clinic or emergency services)
- Violating any applicable federal, state, or local law
- Attempting to circumvent security controls or rate limits
- Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against pet owners or platform staff
Required conduct
- Keep your profile information accurate and up to date
- Respond to appointment requests in good faith and within a reasonable time
- Honor confirmed appointment records and communicate cancellations promptly
- Revoke team member access when staff leave your organization
- Honor pet owner data revocations immediately upon receiving notification
- Maintain accurate emergency-availability information (do not claim 24/7 emergency if not offered)
- Disclose your use of PetMyDear data to staff and obtain appropriate internal authorizations
Reporting violations
If you believe a listing, inquiry, or user is in violation of this policy, use the Report button on the relevant page, or contact us at trust@petmydear.com. We review all reports and aim to respond within 2 business days.
